However, there is an alternate ending, where Sayori tearfully acknowledges your effort to make all the girls happy by spending time with all of them, she then doesn't seek to go after you, simply deciding to leave you be. She is stopped by Monika, who then breaks the game in order for everyone to stop suffering. In the true ending, at the end of the day Sayori, just like the previous club president, wants to get the player. Unlike the chaos that happened in act one, the club is seemingly quiet and everyone gets along with each other. Sayori unfortunately hangs herself due to Monika's manipulation of her file, this happens on Festival day.Īfter a long time without seeing her, Sayori is reintroduced in act 4 where she assumes the role of the president. It is a main focus of her character that deserves it's own mention later on. On the day of the festival, the blue-eyed girl confesses that she loves the protagonist, her love for the MC going all the way back to her childhood. She has been suffering from major depression for most of her life, the disease sapping her of her joy, energy and motivation. In act one, it is eventually revealed that all is not well in Sayori’s world, far from it. Sayori’s job was to prepare posters with Monika for the festival, showing that the two were quite close before the events of the game that lead Monika to. She doesn’t really care about her overall appearance, shown when she doesn't tie her blazer properly. She keeps her room messy out of lack of energy and motivation to clean it. It is noted that she crops her hair short because it is more manageable. Sayori’s depression makes her very disorganised due to her she deeming life as a sort of curse meant to hurt her and punish her for her "Selfishness". Sayori is the peacemaker of the club, the one who manages to calm the clashes between the distinct personalities of the girls (such as in the "Poem Panic" with Yuri and Natsuki during Act 1). Sayori is noted to be clumsy, dropping things and accidently hurting herself quite often, making her come off as an airhead. It is later revealed that the source of this tardiness is (Spoiler alert) her depression. Despite all of this, she is almost always late for school, thus making the protagonist wait for her. She is fitted into an archetype of the deredere, a highly energetic, kind and loving girl. ![]() Sayori is portrayed as a happy-go-lucky girl. She also introduces the protagonist to the literature club and their members. ![]() She is the one in charge of bringing new members for the club. Sayori is the vice president of the literature club during the first act.
